XCEL Federal Credit Union is hiring a full-time Universal Member Service Representative (UMSR) that will serve as a liaison between our membership and the credit union, providing high quality member service by phone or in person. The role will professionally manage members' daily inquiries/needs, explain and cross-sell products and services, assist with account and loan needs, open accounts for members, assist members with their financial transactions, including paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments and maintain accurate transactional records.  This is a full-time, hourly position, located on-site at XCEL's Journal Square, Jersey City branch 3 days per week, and the Federal Plaza, NY branch 2 days per week.

The ideal candidate will have a high school education or GED and 2-5 years of financial services experience, preferably in a credit union. UMSRs must have effective communication, listening, telephone and computer skills. EOE.

XCEL Federal Credit Union is seeking a full-time Network Security Technician to work at our headquarters in Bloomfield, NJ to maintain, enhance and secure XCEL's computer network, analyze network performance, improve network capacity, troubleshoot system-related server & software application issues and provide IT help desk support. 

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or information technology certification in lieu of a degree, and a minimum of two years of experience in the following areas: 

• Windows 11, Server 2016/2019/2022, VMware, Active Directory, Office 365, Intune Management & DUO MFA. 
• Strong working knowledge of OS/hardware platforms supported by network equipment, specific familiarity with Cisco. 
• Knowledge & Experience in Java, JavaScript, VB Script, MSSQL, DB2, Oracle and Python. 
• Proficient in working with industry standard reporting tools such as MS Reporting Services, Business Objects, Crystal or other. 
• Firewalls, Routers and Switches Administration. 

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task many assignments at the same time is required. The Network Security Technician will be expected to maintain the highest degree of courtesy, respect, and professional business relations with both members and colleagues. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and troubleshooting skills are required.  EOE.

XCEL Federal Credit Union is hiring a full-time consumer loan processor to facilitate the loan application process for credit union members. The loan processor is responsible for ensuring all necessary documents are promptly received and processed, while effectively communicating expectations with members.  The loan processor cross-sells credit union products and services based on the loan information gathered during the application process. Collaborating with loan officers and other team members, the loan processor ensures accurate and complete loan documentation, while prioritizing a member-driven and frictionless experience.

The ideal candidate will have one to three years of similar or related experience and a high school education or GED.  The loan processor must have good oral and written communication skills and display a high degree of discretion, diplomacy and tact while communicating with members.  Candidates should be proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and related Office applications.  Candidates must also have knowledge of secondary market products, standards and services, and loan operating systems used in a financial environment.

XCEL Federal Credit Union is hiring a full-time lending specialist that will be responsible for developing and executing a credit portfolio strategy that enables growth of non-interest income as well as card activations and member engagement. The lending specialist provides support to the originations team by handling system upkeep and being a champion for simplicity and convenience to both back-office lending and members. The lending specialist will identify and assist with potential lending leads virtually and in person. The lending specialist will coach internal and external teams in cross-selling by helping them identify opportunities, implement sales strategies, and execute them.

The ideal candidate will have three to five years of similar or related experience and an associate’s degree. Knowledge of secondary market products, standards and services and loan operating systems used in a financial environment is required. Credit card product management and acquisition experience is strongly preferred. The loan processor must have good oral and written communication skills, knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and related Office applications.
